After the lull…

After a few quiet weeks on the windfarm front this week’s Advertiser has THREE new applications for wind turbines. Coatbridge, Newhouse and Greengairs are this week’s targets. So long as these money spinners rack up cash for landowners and developers we will continue to be inundated with applications. Where’s Donald Trump when you need him?

  1. Hi JC . We met a few years ago above Bridge of Orchy at Inverveigh. I still hillwalk and like reading your variety of topics on the website. Our group did a walk yesterday to a 770 corbett Bein Choin in the Trossachs from a spot near Garrison on the inversnaid road. It was a 3hr walk to the eventual summit with great views. I may write it up in more detail but it let us spot all the munros in driving distance from Airdrie! It made up for Airdrie losing at Dumbarton-just

    Hi Colin,
Good to hear from you again, haven’t seen any of your photos in the paper for a while. If your group is local could you let them know about next weeks access forum AGM. It would be nice to get some local walkers interested and the talk by Peter Wright should be good. I’ll maybe see you there.
    All the best,
    Jim

    • We are from all over the glasgow area but I still do the Ochils/Pentlands etc with my wife to stay in training for our Austrian walks in summer. Put a few arran shots to the tiser but no appearance yet! Unlikely to get to other talk. Best wishes
