It’s wet

The weather has not been kind over the last few days and some of the ground on the forthcoming walk will be wet, especially near the trig point. One section of route SM16 (Mountcow to the Lilly Loch) has very long grass, so waterproof trousers are a must. I walked up there on Sunday and was thoroughly soaked without waterproofs. Luckily I was heading home so I wasn’t stuck in cold wet clothes for any period of time.

Saturdays weather is looking good, according to BBC weather both Friday and Saturday are to have sunny intervals. Ten miles in drizzle is hardly appealing stuff, so the forecast is pretty positive.
