The weather has been pretty poor recently, very wet overall. Some of the ground we will be covering does retain water very well and if the weather isn’t too cold could be a bit soft underfoot (that’s code for muddy!). Ideally a bit of frost wouldn’t go amiss as this would help firm things up.
I’ve been laid up with flu this last week and had hoped to have been up there a few times to finalise the route I want to take and check distances and timings. Hopefully I will have this done early next week and will post a final route on here.
Hopefully we may get some good views on the walk, here’s a photo of Ben Vorlich and Stuc a’ Chroin (at Loch Earn) from Blackhill. These hills can be seen on most clear days, and are particularly fine in their winter garb, which shouldn’t be far away now.
